2012 Ride Schedule

Ride Events

• February 19th (Sunday) Family Day Winter Ride and Pot Luck at the Ghost Airstrip Provincial Recreation Area (PRA)

• April 28th, 5th annual McLean Creek Poker Rally and Geocache event. McLean Creek OHV area

• May Long weekend May 18th - 21st Camping and riding on designated trail system. A $20/night camping fees applies to each camping unit. Large fenced private area with cookhouse, outhouses, garbage bins, supplied firewood and room for 50+ units. New members and Day trips welcome. Ghost Airstrip Provincial Recreation Area (PRA)

• Aug 3rd - 5th Camping and Riding in the Hunter Valley area. Exact location TBA.

• Aug. 31st - Sept. 3rd- CARA's 6th Annual Pig Roast and potluck meal. Family Rides and Campout at the 20 acre Ghost Airstrip group campground. $20/unit nightly camping fees apply. Ghost Airstrip Provincial Recreation Area (PRA).

• Nov 3rd, the 9th annual Rebels Ride and BBQ. From South Ghost Staging area to Margret Lake for a BBQ lunch then return. South Ghost Staging area

There will be a few non-sanctioned rides throughout the year that many of our member attend.

• Dutch Creek Boys Weekend (June 2012, check out the Frontier Forum for more information a few months prior to the event)

• July 20th - 22nd Thunder in the Valley – Camping location TBD in the McGillvery or Atlas random camping areas.

• Sundre Poker Rally Sunday August 5th

• July 29th-Aug 1st Camping and Riding in the Caroline Forest Reserve area. Exact location TBA.  Prefered location West of Caroline

Annual General Meeting

7:00PM/West Hillhurst Community Hall - Hospitality Room

On Thursday, April 14^th, 2011 the Calgary ATV Riders will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the West Hillhurst Community Centre, located at 1940-6^th Ave NW in the Hospitality room located beside the Penalty Box Lounge. 

If you are interested in becoming a CARA board member and are dedicated, passionate and energetic please email us at info@calgaryatvriders.com and let us know then come to the AGM meeting where we will vote in the 2011/2012 Board members. 

We will be discussing recent and upcoming club activities (Poker Rally, CARA clothing, possible grants, stewardship initiatives etc...)
